there's something going on

at last I found some time to work on the website again, there will be an article about that F3 race at Monaco soon.
I also work on the literature pages but I tried to do that with MS Word which gave me some surprises concerning the data structure and file sizes...

Search your archives - Photos and info wanted

Although the reactions to my invitations to the blog were not particularly numerous I'd like to post another call.
There's several races that Didier competed in but information and / or pictures are extremely hard to find.

So, if you have something about one og the following races please tell or write me, post or comment it here. The races are (there may be more)

- Grand National Tour Auto 1972 (Ford Capri w/ Hoten)
- 6 hours of Mugello 1980 (BMW M1 w/ Dieter Quester)
- 24 Hours of Spa 1980 (BMW 528 w/ Jacques Laffite)

- all powerboat races before the Needles Trophy

Tanks for your help and keep on surfin' in

Schuey who ?

After nearly exactly 3 years I took the chance to leave my mark in racing history again ;-) when taking part in a company kart cup at Norderstedt near Hamburg, Germany. Our team came home fourth of ten.

The David Piper Ferrari

I just found two photos that I took at the 2004 Goodwood Revival, one showing David Piper's Ferrari P4, the other one showing himself and his wife. I asked him if this was the car that Didier drove at Monthléry which I had read somewhere before. He said that this was the case but not much more and I was (as usual) a bit to shy to start up a more intensive conversation.
Does anybody know more about this story of Didier getting the chance to drive this car and how it was ? Did they know each other before or did they get into contact through someone else ? Where is David Piper Racing located ?

I think I read that the car was producing clouds of smoke in the end...

Current Activities

After more than a year that I haven't managed to change a thing at the website I did a lot over the past three months. At the moment there'S not much change visible as I'm currently trying to translate the missing French pages. This takes a lot of time especially as normally work on the website on my way to work that takes me about an hour on the train. Moreover all the model pages have been renewed and the differences of HTML-interpretation between IE and Firefox almost drove me nuts. Anyway there's still a lot missing, be it the technical data of all the cars, be it stories about Didier in his private life or whatever. Who ever would like to help me please feel free to do so by redirecting the stories, filling gaps in the statistics, establishing contacts, donating pictures or whatever.

I'd also be very happy if it could become possible to regularly read some of you enthusiasts who I got to know (most only via email, some in person) here in this blog.

Thanks for your interest and support.
